I've read this comment too many times to count. I'm so flattered by your appraisal, and also delighted that you really got what I was trying to convey, which is always terribly gratifying.

As my OTP, my head canon is that they are both flawed, but they need one another. Draco needs Harry's acceptance and love, and (in this fic) Harry needs Draco to challenge him a little bit, to push him and not let him be complacent about his fucked-up-ness because of who he is. I want them to fit together in an imperfect but beautiful way, and I love writing things like this that give me a chance to try and do that.

Harry can't resist Draco being a mouthy little shit, which, face it, I really can't either.
