Pansy is the queen of intrigue, isn't she? Or well...in my headcanon she is at least. And I agree, Harry's inability to pin her down--and not just literally--was a driving force in his obsession. She was playing with him the whole time, dangling herself in front of him, but he couldn't figure out why and the question drove him nearly mad. I think Pany is the perfect character to bring out the darker sides of Harry, which I love exploring as well.
