You handled Manipulative!Hermione ridiculously well, I must say. She was still Hermione under it all, and I really appreciate good characterization. The fic flowed really well, and the quotes above each section really helped with that. Also, the little bit of hope at the end added a bittersweet sort of quality to the fic, and I quite liked where you left it.
