For you, I change my icon, which I've never done before. :) The kimono was created using the turquoise paint (with a touch of white) and the pale lilac paper in the picture to the left. The paper's "tissue-y" so it became semi-transparent when I adhered it over the paint with a matte medium/sealer - et voila. Like many good things, the technique was a cover-up for a mistake, a happy accident.
I'm so glad you honed in on Hermione's eyes and that you read fear and/or sadness in them. That's what I wanted to express. The fic evolved because I wanted to explore her look and the reasons behind it. Why would she submit and how would she feel about it? So if you got that, the stand-alone is fine. Although my evil twin wants to tell you to read the story. Never mind - I've got her under control. I'll lock her in the craft room with Martha. ;)
I love the hair, too. The blending and contrast are better than I've done in the past. I like that you find the hair ornaments "perverse". It's an interesting observation. Don't tell Hermione that I - my evil twin sometimes tears up books for art.
