hp_kinkfest 2012 has come to an end! Thank you so much to all our participants, readers, commenters and reccers. Every year you make our "kinky little fest" (as we call it) into something we are truly proud to host by showcasing an extraordinary range of pairings and sexual kinks in HP fanart and fanfics.

A bunch of other reminders and administrative notes


1) MOST IMPORTANTLY hp_kinkfest POSTING OPENS TOMORROW!

2) You are responsible for posting your own fic. As of midnight (EST) on your assigned posting date, you will be given access to post to this community. See the posting calendar (links to google calendar) if you don't remember your posting date.

3) Please post with the standard headers provided HERE.

4) Still need a beta? Check out the kind volunteers at our kink-friendly beta post.

5) You have about 24hrs to post your fic on your posting day. Your access will likely be open for about 48hrs, so feeling free to post anytime during your posting date in your own timezone. We are pretty loose and easy with the posting in the fest.

6) If you know now that you need to drop out, please tell us. Similarly, if your fic is done and ready to post early, you can email us and we can slot you into a drop out spot.

7) If you miss your posting date, but do have a fic to post, you will be able to post it during our Late Posting week at the end of February.

8) WE HAVE TAGS!!! LOTS of THEM! Add the tags when you post, to make for easy reading in the weeks/months/years to come as people look to this community to scratch an inch. We will try to update any tagless posts, but it's in your best interest to tag as appropriate.
If you need a tag added, we will do our best to add it if you let us know when you post your fic/art. However, we cannot add a tag for every pairing/threesome/moresome. Please try to make do with those we have listed whenever possible. Anyone posting with a 'reasonably common' pairing that does not have a tag, just add a note at the end of your post saying 'mods, I need a pairing: asp/sm tag' and we'll add it. It's the stuff like 'pairing: GW/Giant Squid', 'pairing DM/his broomstick' that we want to avoid having specific tags for.
The same goes for any kink that you feel is missing a tag. We are happy to add more - just note it when you post. Thanks!

All further claims to come in will be scheduled during the back up posting week as we already have 4 fic/art a day week 1-4.

If you wish for your submission to remain anon, please clearly indicate that in your prompt claiming! We will assign you a date to submit your entry to the mods as well as a date when your entry will be posted.

If you are claiming without an LJ account, please make sure to include your email address when claiming.

Prompt Claiming Details:

• Claiming by proxy is permitted.
• You may only claim one prompt at a time. If you finish your first prompt, you may claim another. You can only claim up to four prompts, as we allow each writer/artist to only post once a week.
• Prompt claiming is on a first-come, first-claimed basis.
• When claiming, you may list your top three choices. If someone has already claimed your first choice, we will give you your second, and so on.
• Remember to include the PROMPT NUMBER when claiming your prompt!
• Each prompt can be claimed only once for fic, once for art.
• You may claim a prompt even if you didn't submit any prompts.
• If you don't see a prompt you like, you may create one for yourself and comment with it on the claiming post.
• If you see a prompt that is very close but not quite what you like, you are free to change the pairing or any other specifics of the prompt and comment with it as your own prompt. The original prompt will remain unclaimed.

The mods will reply to your comment as soon as possible. You will be told which of your requested prompts you will be writing/drawing and you will be provided with your posting date.
We will not be emailing you. This is a self-posting fest. You are responsible for keeping your posting date in mind, and you are expected to post your kinky story or art yourself. Posting access to hp_kinkfest will be given you on your posting date. We will provide a Google Calendar once claiming is closed, for you to check when you are supposed to post.
