Yes, and I really don't understand why. I mean, if it's fear of voodoo (so to speak), isn't an erection (and ejaculation) at least as scary? When I was doing the research, I came across people claiming that menstrual blood was somehow 'dirtier' than 'ordinary blood', because it contains the lining of the womb, etc. Well, what does semen contain? I'm not one for seeing misogyny everywhere, but I'm sure there's some deep-seated misogyny at the heart of it. That's one of the reasons I liked the idea that, in Draco's case, it would open his eyes to Hermione's sexuality.
