I think I began to see Lucius like this when I read the fifth or sixth bookâthe one where Lucius is back from Azkaban, but he is shadow of his former self.
And then I saw the one where Draco is all beautiful, pale and blond and so withdrawn and tormented.
I sometimes think, if we were to know where the roads we don't take, would lead, we would not so much hesitate and regret our choices. if we understood what we say 'no' to, we could get on with our lives and not fear the things we say 'yes' to.
