Readers in Australia should be aware that, in the wake of the Bill Henson fiasco, legislation was rushed through concerning the depiction and description of of children in sexual situations:

However, so far in the debate, no-one has taken into consideration how Australia's anti- 'child abuse publications' legislation might massively increase the scale of sites requiring blacklisting. How so? Because in both federal and state legislation in Australia 'child abuse publications' refer not just to pictures (whether real or digitally altered) of actual children, but to any 'representation of a person', fictional or otherwise, 'in a sexual context' or 'as the victim of torture, cruelty or physical abuse'. The definition of 'person' is very broad and covers depictions in a computer game, animation, comics, art work and even text.
In 2008 an appeal against a conviction on the charge of possession of child pornography (in this case digitally manipulated images of The Simpsons children, Bart and Lisa) was launched on the basis that cartoon characters could not reasonably be described as 'persons'. In his interpretation of the legislation, Justice Adams disagreed, and upheld the judgement of the original magistrate.

Thanks for this info. I just wish I had been aware, what this particular kink means, before I clicked on it. I didn't know. I just read 3 lines and it threw me very much. I know it's my own fault and it was tagged. I don't mean to judge or cause a stir. Just,.. some people might not be aware what they are getting into or that it's not legal in their country.

Now that I said this, I feel better, so feel free to ignore me.

Beside this, I just want tell you how much I like this fest. I think you are all doing are great job. Thank you!

Thanks for your comment. It wasn't very long ago that I, too, learned what 'chan' meant (I can only assume that is what you are referring to).

The author warned for it well, even stating the age of the young person in this case. But I do know that when we play with 'hot topics' we get occasionally burned by stumbling on things that we don't want (sometime even things that we don't realise might bother us, then do).

This post was about reminding everyone to be careful. :D
