What an interesting comment, thanks! In my mind, Harry didn't want to put all the responsibility of being active and in control on Scorpius's shoulders, given he was so young and inexperienced. (And Scorpius would have refused anyway or at the very least been unable to maintain an erection.) Harry saw Scorpius's willingness as a kind of kind bravado, not genuine enthusiasm. And even though I did mean to imply that Scorpius gave fate a little push here and there, and Scorpius did have a huge crush on Harry, he really isn't mature enough to know what he was getting into. I don't think there's any way either of them could have gotten through the night dispassionately, whether Harry is a seasoned Auror or not. (I doubt he'd come across this kind of dilemma too often in his work. ;))
